Extended Learning Center Client: Blue Ridge Community College Year Completed: 2003 The Extended Learning Center is designed to take advantage of its location adjacent to the existing Library/Student Activities Building to re-assert the original academic “quad” established when the community college was originally constructed. The massing and forms of the building components are designed to be compatible with the existing buildings while taking the opportunity to recall form of the local vernacular building tradition. |
